Senior step mother romantically scammed out of thousands

by Dee
(Lancaster PA)

I'm searching for help. My step mother just depleted her funds to a online romance scammer. It's really bad. His name is Mark Hudson, Columbia md and claims to be an engineer.

He's given her the whole routine of bad luck scenarios and has conned her. Looking for advice or any info ☺️ n this con artist. I do not have a picture but will get one from her to post.

Hudson scammer
by: Anonymous

Hello, the person who scammed me out of tens of thousands went by Bryan Hudson. This happened between 2015 and 2017.

Also said he was an engineer, geologist and contractor, from Scotland then moved to Baltimore. Will try to post pics.

Step mother

I am so sorry to hear about your step mother. If you have his photo, write a new report and then you can add the photo. Or, you can right click on the photo and the drop down should have "view photo on Bing".

It will give you his name and all the sites he uses. Or third choice is to download the photo and then go to Bing or Google. If you need help, all of us here would be glad to help you.

COULD IT BE
by: Anonymous

Location and how they scramble names. There is a guy Ricardo by last name. If it's the same fellow he is good at his evil trade. He will take it all even if he is told you are starving. My car was
down he said too me oh! You care more about your car than me. Some day in the future he will be judged - all of them, will be Measured back to themselves and how they have measured out to us, except I have a very good idea they will also receive 7 fold interest.

Be safe

Hudson

The person who scammed me out of thousands went by Bryan Hudson. He also claimed to he an engineer/contractor, from Baltimore MD, on an oil rig in the gulf of Mexico. I've located a Facebook page with one of the pics he sent me under the name Ricardo Wayne. Another pic is located on a LinkedIn profile under Darren Ricardo Wayne. He sent me a pic of what he described as him and his mother too. I'd be interested in knowing if it's the same person. He's really good at being bad.

If you post photos or even one photo I will research for you. Please tell her that before she gets involved with anyone again that researching is important. There are a lot of engineers, oil rig, soldiers on peace keeping missions, UN people that are 99.9% scammers.

I feel bad for your mother-in-law as they are professionals grabbing money pretending to be someone they are not. It is most likely a stolen photo. I will research after you post photo and explain how I researched it to you in a reply on here.

Terrible
by: Josie

So sorry to hear about your step Mother these scammers are evil. The tip I used when first had one of these scammers was to tell them that my son is a police officer, which in my case is true, this immediately ran warning bells with the scammer as he knew my son would be able to track him, try this tip even if it is not true after all the scammers use nothing but lies.

More info
by: Anonymous

I’m so sorry, these gangs are unscrupulous and prey on the emotions of the lonely and vulnerable. The strongest women have been sucked in, myself included.

Send more info, the story he told, the way he made contact. They always have a sob story and no family, apart from a sick or adopted child. They will be American but with a European background (to account for the weird accent when you speak to them). The one that tried to scam me was very eloquent and articulate.

Has you step mum stopped contact now? They pass your info on so don't be surprised if she gets another one try it on.
