We met on meetup.com. He was in three dating groups that I was a part of and sent me a private message. He was on meetup.com for only two days before writing to me. Here is his first communication with me:

My mother is at my house in Pennsylvania i kept her there with a care
keeper due to the epidemic and while i travel for work. My son stays in the
UK however he is not at risk like my mother she is 89 this year also
fighting lung cancer.

Good Afternoon i responded this morning from my work mail tried attaching photos of Hope and I ... Doesnt seem to work

He then asked for my number so he can text a picture of his dog. I had a Google number set up to give to people when I first date them, I gave him this number. That's how he got my number.
After he sent a LONG text message, he asked for my email address so he could send longer messages to me. That's how he got my email address.
We were in contact for 6 weeks with almost daily communication.
He said he has property in Pittsburg, PA. His mother (who has lung cancer) just celebrated her 89th birthday and she has a care-taker who is also taking care of his dog, Hope, a rotweiller.
He told me his name was Peter and after several weeks told me his full name was Sebastian Peter Agner. He never told me the name of his son, mother, or late wife. He has sent me pictures of him with his mother & her birthday cake (Her b-day was May 8th). I have now learned that by using the name Sebastian Peter Agner it makes searches hard because everything that comes up it for Sebastian Peter Wagner. Just like the 2nd alias he uses Steve Newman.
He says he is now down in the British Virgin Islands on a rig 50+ miles out. He says he is an engineer and hired an 80+ person crew that he is responsible for. He purchased a satellite phone so he could stay in contact with me and for some reason he hasn't shared with me
He says he is widowed and has a grown son, 26 years old who lives in the UK with his partner. His FB cover page is a picture of the two of them. I can't find any of his pictures using Google photo search.
He said he grew up in Denmark during his school days, but his accent sounded British. He would refer to his home in Pittsburg as his "property".
An early post says she could hear dogs barking on May 21st. I spoke with him on the phone the same day and heard a dog in the background. He said he was on his property in Pittsburgh and the dog barking was Hope.
He emailed me today and this is the last paragraph:
I was planning on going to a beautiful hotel for my birthday and exploring the Tortola ambiance :/ as it is beautiful, however this sacrifice has to be made. (**he told me about some unexpected expenses with work in earlier paragraphs**) At least we can proceed! back on schedule (to see you I hope you will get me at the airport if it is a convenient time :P!) it also gives US an opportunity to explore the BVI together baby, I know you will love it! from the little I saw and how interested you are to see it. I have not reminded you but you are so special and I keep thinking of you. I wish to spend my Friday with you and cuddle, talk, giggle together I even thought of the feeling of gaining your cat's approval LOL. My spirit is with you sweet"
I'm not sure who he is meeting at the airport because it is not me. He said his birthday is June 13th so I'm guessing this is happening next Friday.
Yesterday he sent me a list of songs that he has heard which remind him of me. He seems to gloss over questions I ask of him and is always really busy with something. He hasn't asked for any money from me. He uses some oil rig terms in his emails "BOP and Triplex Mud Pump" and says for security reasons he can't tell me where he is exactly or the name of the rig he is on. He says he can't quickly send me pictures because he isn't using his own phone, but the satellite phone. Even with the satellite phone, he still uses his Google number to communicate.
He hasn't asked for any compromising pictures, but has sent me some shirtless photos of him. Thought this guy was legit when on May 22nd he said he was flying down to the rig and I got a picture of him on an airplane. He sent me hikes from a neighboring town (which I was able to track down were of a neighboring town's walking path). And when he said he was moving apartments, he sent me a picture of him in his car and a clear blue sky through the sunroof - and it was a clear blue sky day.
I wish I could upload more than 4 pictures of this guy. I haven't any of them on any google image search, on any youtube videos of scammers, on any Facebook scammer group.
I wish I could have posted these pics under this area: https://www.watchforscams.com/oil-rig-engineer-for-dating-scam.html I was first searching for proof - validation my suspicions were correct. Seeing his pic from someone else would have provided the verification I so desperately wanted. I wasn't ready to post in this area until I was sure this was a scammer.
