Nigerian scammers

(Philadelphia Pennsylvania )

I was contacted by a David j Anthony a few weeks back. I am not gullible but was interested in him. I attached the picture he used. He said he was from Philadelphia and lived in the old city section of Philly. He said he was leaving for Dubai.

He was very knowledgeable about a lot of places. I would like to find this person in the photo and let him know but I don't know how to locate him. His grammar was good at first. Then started getting terrible. Then the I love you started and that was the end.

I told him what I knew he was trying to do. He never responded. Oh well. Thank god I don't fall in love easily.

Dave Matteson Scammer
by: Anonymous

Interesting that I also met a David Matteson or he goes By blos Dave on POF. He also said he was going to Dubai for two weeks. He asked to use Viber to speak. His phone would not allow him to video call because it’s not allowed in Dubai. He would always have issues sending videos to prove it was him.

His accent seemed British. He said he was born in New Jersey, age of 4 moved for South Africa because his dad is a mining engineer. He was on a contract assignment but he moved to Florida and would be back in two weeks.

After one week he asked me to buy him an iTunes card for $100, take a picture and send it to him. When I started analyzing the pictures at that moment and the request and how he would not do video I told him I believe this is a scam. At that time he said let me send you a video and what I want. He used to record my video chats with him and pictures. He said if you don’t want your family and friends to see this send me $2K or I will sell your pictures and videos.

He ended up saying he was sorry, the reason why he was doing that scam, he really was in Dubai. He was being ordered to do that by another scammer that had helped him out with money. He has two kids in Nigeria and wanted to stop doing the scam.

862-203-8312is was the number he used. He had daveeee7272 as a profile name in POF.

Match
by: Helen

He was on Match still? That’s where I first saw him. He was leaving for Dubai. He would be there for 2 weeks. He did call me but his accent didn’t match him from England.

He then told me there was an accident on the rig. 6 people were injured. He started to say he had to give 50,000 to the dead workers family.

I said money shouldn’t be an issue when someone dies.

He never messaged me again.

I know it makes me so mad they use other people's pictures. Tried to find the man that my scammer used but no luck.
