I believe my mom is being scammed

by Mary
(California )

My mother recently started dating a man online going by the name of Micheal Watts. Micheal claims to be a single father of 1 living in Texas in the US army. He’s been selling my mother dreams about how rich he is, but she’s been sending him money.

He comes up with excuses about how he’s deployed in Japan and cannot access his bank account. He’s been having my mother make all kinds of crypto accounts and even getting her to give away her bank information so that he can wire transfer her loads of money.

My mom will not take any of my advice about how fishy this whole situation is, and the man won’t even show his face on FaceTime because his excuse is “army protocol is you can’t show your face”

She is being scammed
by: Anonymous

Your mother is definitely being scammed. Tell her to go onto scamming sites where she can see videos and read stories of others who have been scammed and what the red flags are.

This person she is talking with will take everything she has then disappear. I wish you luck from someone who was scammed and learned the hard way!
