Falling for a sucker

Hello, my friend is currently talking to a man named Howard Bryan. He lives is Texas, is widowed and has 2 girls in boarding school in New York. I believe they met on facebook and they talk on Hangout. He is an oil rigger and is currently stuck in Nigeria because he got off the wrong exit on the boat and never got his passport stamped so when he bought his plane ticket and tried to leave he wasnt able to and was detained by Customs.

Now he is staying at a hotel and working at a peanut factory for $50 dollars a day and needs money to pay customs so they will stamp his passport and so he can pay the hotel. He currently has not asked for any money but the whole family thinks its a scam.

He deleted his Facebook shortly after they started talking. Please is anyone else have a possible photo of him or may be talking to the same guy let me know.

My mother is currently talking to the same guy. If somehow you can get in contact with me, that would be great.

This is definitely a scam. They are all working on oil rigs. Give him some time and he will be asking for money! Tell your friend to get rid of him before he asks her for money!

Anytime someone says they're an oil rigger, that's the top red flag. Who does oil Riggs theses days? Only scammers.

Read the other posts, your story is exactly the same as others.

This sounds somewhat similar to my scammer. Got off the boat in the wrong place??!!?? Come on an oil rigger would know exactly where he was getting off after being at sea for months!

Secondly if he is in fact an oil rigger he would not have time or energy to be talking or hanging out on Hangouts.

Thirdly, if he is an oil rigger he would have plenty of money to pay the hotel bills as most times they get paid when they leave the rig in reality.

The passport story is bogus too. NEVER EVER send money to someone that you have not met or video chatted with personally for more that a few seconds. Even a video chat can be very deceiving. Give them commands and make sure they follow them like touch your nose or wave at me.

I would be glad to send pics of my scammer if you like so you can determine if it is the same picture although the pics used by my scammer are stolen pics. And most likely the ones you are dealing with are also stolen.

I would suggest doing a Google search of the photos and see what comes up. If you want to see pics of my scammer I can send to an email. Please send your pics to me at mbaker915@netzero.net and I will reply with pics of my scammer.

Thanks
