I have been speaking to someone on Facebook who goes by the name of David Williams and he said he was an orthopedic doctor from Dallas Texas. I think he was a scammer and he was a good looking man and he said he was sixty one. He was a smooth talker saying all the right things to make any woman feel special.

Has anyone else come across this man.

David Williams scammer
by: Anonymous

I do believe I am being scammed. A man by the name of David Williams (davidwilliams9808@gmail.com) has contacted me and said he is from New Jersey and a soldier/doctor stationed in Syria and has been stuck over there for 7 years without pay.

He has children in England that are going to a private school and he needs help getting home. I am a 68 year old woman that just wants to be in an honest relationship and loved. We have talked on the phone but it is always broken English and when he text me there are always spelling errors.

He keeps asking me to send money through Bitcoin.

If anyone has any information please let me know.

I am not sure if this is the same catfisher that I met through a Catholic dating site. He told me his first name is Williams and last name is David. He is an environmental engineer living in Milwaukee and has two kids in their twenties studying at Purdue.

His wife died of breast cancer ten years ago. In 24 hours, he went from saying that he wanted friendship first to saying that I was the one. Red flag right there. Then, on Christmas Eve morning, he sent me a video of the breakfast he was making for his son. On Christmas day he sent me the exact same video with the exact same email content, in which he mentions three bible verses and wants me to check them out, when I had already given him my opinion on those verses the day before.

Receiving the same email twice was a huge red flag. No wonder why the emails he sent me would only mention my name at the very beginning of the content. In the rest of each email, he would refer to me as "my dear." He probably copies and pastes the text to send to several victims.

I told him he accidentally sent me the same email twice, just to make sure it wasn’t an honest mistake. When he wrote back, his writing style was different and he did not respond about the duplicate email he sent. I have a feeling that the catfisher is not one person but a team and that the pictures he sent me are of a man who was catfished by these same people.

Oh, and the scammer kept insisting I send him my phone number, but I did not. I told him to send me his, and that is when he stopped writing.

Beware. He is trying to scam me too with his story of his wife passing away from cancer and trying to raise his 2 children alone. Says he works as a engineer contractor in Qatar and had me go on a google account giving him my e mail address.

I just felt bad for the guy but now know he is a scammer and those are not his pics.

Feel like a dumbass but glad I caught it early.

BEWARE

This person went to the Words With Friends and targeted me because I am a female. He gave too much info right away - from Texas, wife died with son in a car accident, parents died in 2014. One 17 year old daughter and a chemical engineer. Looking for a relationship.

I replied he is a scammer & that I am blocking him. I resigned from the game.

Be careful.

Check all the pictures on here, if you don't see him please post one. If he asks for money block him fast. They will hack your fb so hide all your friends so he can't see them, and they will try to hack your phone also.

If you have to ask or question its more than likely what it is. Catfishers and scammers are on social media...in big numbers waiting for there next Magahas.. (target) so be vigilant. Ive baited numerous scammers all with similar stories and all insidiously boring. They prey on a person's feelings. I can say from my experience some go from A-Z with there script in days, some play it out and will get in your head.

Nigerians are impeccable and smart and take the time and effort to attain a more realistic approach to there plot. Once they have you on the hook they will play into your emotions. They will keep on filling you with what you want to hear, then the Money will come into play. Im still involved with a match that is going on one year.

I just called one out from tinder, who professes love going to Dubai on a "contract" and it ends up he is a 30 year old nigerian..i told him his script is boring...lol. The photo on tinder is a white male.

Match, tinder, our time, POF and Bumble are littered with scammers. Ive been hit up on facebook as well. Excercise caution with these guys.

Let the buyer beware.
