An older friend of mine told me about a strange man who found her via Linked In then sent a friend request on Facebook.
After accepting his friendship, he started sending her lengthy messages telling about himself and asking her questions.
She was concerned so I did a little investigating and it only took my inserting the URL from his Facebook profile into the Google image search to discover that this image was being used by scammers.
I informed her immediately and told her to unfriend him. As it turned out, she was his ONLY friend.
Anyway...there are so many ways now to check for scammers.
