Been there done that. Didn't send much. But glad I stopped when I did. A love story with a young lady from Nigeria. When I quit writing and sending money, I was told she had been hit by a motorcycle and was in the hospital and I needed to send funds to pay for "mediation" for my "wife".
First doc I wrote to once, then stopped writing. Later came a email from a second doc telling me how serious the hospital bill was and why I was not interested in the young lady any more. Especially since I was a Christian man and had to answer to God some day.
Sounds like a scam now that I look back on it. Thanks for the info. John
