Doctor scam

My friend is all over FB in search for a nice man to date. She was friended on FB by a Dr Eric Griffins. She believes he is real but im here to prove he is a fake. His FB page looks good, so does his pics, but I believe a scammer is using this Doctors profile. They chatted for several months, now he is asking for money to be able to visit her to put in a leave request in the amount of $1050.00.

She has taken him seriously because he has told others they are a coupe, she says if he is a scammer he would have chatted with others to get their money also. Please prove her wrong before she sends him the money. He is Dr Eric Griffins. In Syria. Leave approved through NATO. Home town Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. In Syria with Secret Service Mission.

I first thought he was in with Doctors without Boarders. If I am wrong about this guy I owe her an apology but I don't think I am.

Doctor scammer
by: Anonymous

My story starts from Dr David Niven. He faked himself very well. Amazing good looking British man. I asked him for his ID card as a security check and he sent me one. I asked him for a video call and he called me on video for one minute. The video was matching the picture and id card.

A surgeon working at an airbase in Yemen asking me to request a vacation break and they replied to me and asked me to pay $1550. The story was so believable because I checked him out in a video so
be careful ladies.

Romance scammers are everywhere.

Afghanistan doctor
by: Anonymous

I had met someone at Facebook. He claimed that he is a UN doctor in Afghanistan. We chatted almost 3 months, and he said that his camp got attacked by terrorists.

He and his colleague ran away to the forest there. He is from Taiwan and His colleague from Japan.

He introduced me to his agent as a link direct to his employer (UN - Afghanistan Government).

This agent named Mr. Larry asked me to pay for a flight ticket to come back home USD 1700 and also to release his contract a further USD 14450 - instruction by General.

Larry sent me a fake US passport and ticket that he made from Shutterstock. com

I had checked the list of UN medical doctors and both names are not on the list.

All communication from Facebook moved to WeChat

Dr.Robert Johnson , "William, Scott, Jeffrey"
by: Anonymous

A family member is texting with "Dr. Robert Johnson" (as he says " a well respected doctor in Dallas"), guys named "William, Scott, and Jeffrey" and they are supposed to work for the US Army.

That William character even calls my family member "His wife" and adores her a lot. Strange thing is that " William" promises my family member (living in The Netherlands) half of his salary he earns in USA Army, called " Benefits."

"Dr.Robert Johnson" supposed to be a friend of his, and he's taking care of all his business in the USA wile he's based in Iraq right now, he says.

But, in order to receive the "benefits" (she would get 20 000 euro's......each month) she must pay a lot of money, over and over again, by buying STEAM cards and send the codes on these cards through Whatsapp to "Dr.Robert Johnson."

She had to pay for :
- Translation costs for Dutch bank
- Insurance
_ a military commander was replaced and changed
the rules, so she had to pay for another 2000
euro's.
- A whole bunch of Stamps

She has no money of her own, and she's borrowed lots and lots of money from people in her neighborhood, who she's promised to pay them back as soon as she receives that money (which, of course, will never come). People become real, real angry because they still dont have their money back from her.

Every time she gets messages from them that "everyting is fine now, the money supposed to be on your account withing 2 days" but nothing happens.

Then, "DR. Robert Johnson, Scott and Jeffrey (these should work at department who controls paying benefits from US Army), react like they're surprised that it isn't on her account. A week later she receives another message that she needs to pay another 2000 euro's, money which she still dont have.

"If i dont get that money, i will not get the benefits" she cries desperatley seeking for another innocent person in her neighborhood willing to flush a huge amount of money through the toilet by " helping" her giving a loan he/she never gets back.

And all the time she totally understands all these fairytales why it's been delayed again. Shes texting with "Dr. Robert Johnson, William, Scott , Jeffrey almost the entire day.

Everyone willing to help her open her eyes, trying to convince her that's a big scam, gets a big mouth and mustn't interfere with her business.
She grabs innocent people with her into her financial trouble.

Even messages on the FBI website, saying "Dont pay money to someone you've never met in real life" are not true and are all lies.

She will not accept any bad words about them. She sees a picture of them on her cellphone, and she says its all true.

He is a doctor?
by: Anonymous

So here's the thing, he is a doctor for goodness sakes. Why is he asking for money....doctors are the crème del la crème of society and they have no need for pitiful sums of money. $1000.00 is like a bottle of red with their steak for dinner.

Seriously, if anyone is asking her for money and she has never actually met them face to face and in the flesh, not via skype, then your friend is being conned and there is no apology needed for your friend, you are looking out for her.

As for the doctor, if he is for real then he should know better. He is a turd for asking her for money in the first place.

I would be grateful to have friends that look out for me like this.

Dr. John Pamo orthopedic surgeon in Yemen?
by: Anonymous

Is anyone talking to Dr. John Pamo who claims to be from Long Beach, CA, and an orthopedic surgeon working in Yemen? I cannot find a Dr.'s listing for him anywhere.

He is trying to get me on Google chat and I'm sure he is not real. He sure has a lot of time on his hands to be a surgeon.

Take care, Dr in Syria
by: Anonymous

I have been corresponding with a man who claims to be an orthopedic doctor working in Aleppo, Syria with Doctors without Borders. He goes by the name of John Williams. He first commented on one of my Twitter posts, and when I answered him, he asked me to change over to Hangouts.

I knew right away it was a scam, so I continued just to get more info. Within a short time he was in love with me. Wanting to come to the US and marry me. He said he had no way to access his bank account, and gave me the name and e-mail of his attorney, which was a gmail acct, who in turn said I had to pay $4,850.00 for his paperwork for leave.

When I questioned him about his money and told him I had none, he said his attorney could arrange for me to get the money thru a transfer, but they wanted my bank info.

Of course I didn't give them that and told them to wire the money via Western Union. For that they wanted me to send them a copy of the front and back of my ID. He said he was from Ireland and sent a picture of his "home" there. The backyard with a pool and "palm trees".

I hardly think there are palm trees in Ireland. He also sent pictures of his children, which I am sure are not his. He called once, and not a sign of an Irish accent. I checked his Twitter account and he is following around 57 women. So there are more victims out there.

I have reported him to Twitter, Google, FBI. Hope they nab these people. Please be careful ladies!

I am lucky, I gave him no money. I was wise to this. They are clever.

MORE INFORMATION FOR "Doctor Scam"
by: Anonymous

I too had to apply to the UN Vacation office to ask for a leave request. After saying he loved me so so much he would say that we were married. So when I supposedly wrote to the UN Vacation Office I had to tell them that I was his wife and that there was an emergency at home...now, I know now that the letter was probably sent to HIM and the saddest part of this whole thing is that I actually felt that it was not true but I thought that I loved him and wouldn't believe MYSELF.
