I met a gorgeous man on fb messenger and we have been chatting for three weeks and he is claiming to be falling in love. He is an independent engineering marine, drilling oil and gas from CA but presently in Glasgow on a contract.

He is a widow with two sons shared photos of kids, 15 and 13 yrs. I have also fallen for him, he is very polite and considerate and he has not asked for money or given any sad stories but my gut tells me something is wrong.

We are in different time zones i.e. 5 hours apart and he has the timing down to a science. His English is good sometimes broken. He goes by the name Henry Williams.

Can anyone share some light on this person.

Why would anyone email pictures to a man' email address???? Never do that for we do not know who they are, could be the scammer for all we know. I was shocked when I read that to email this Jason more then once being said, Post them on here since Ed already said how to do it.

The scammer I had was asking for 8K also. I did not send it and he got ugly. I'm so sorry. I am having a hard time recovering and I cannot imagine how much worse if I had sent money.

I had alway blocked widows on FB and not sure why I let this one get to me. I won't make the same mistake again though.

Yes, I think we are all talking about the same guy. The one I'm talking with is Chris Douglas and I've posted pictures of him. 2 kids - contracted on a oil rig in the UK. When I told him I wouldn't send money he called my wicked.

He hacked my FB account and tried to hack my cell phone and now sending me dirty pictures on fb as a friend request. I turned him in to FB and they shut his page down.

But as we know he'll just start a new one. Please be very careful as he's out of Nigeria.

Why must we send pictures to an email address, why can you not just put all his pictures on here and then we can leave a comment if we have dealt with him. Think that would be much better than giving our email address to someone we do not know who it is.

Sorry but I am so Leary of doing something like that. Then our email is out there and here it is safe with Ed.

I am so sorry that you are going through this and you are struggling. I wish you luck. Do you have a name, email address, phone numbers, photos that you can share?

Giving as much info on your scammer could save another person from being scammed by him/them. Use this site to help you vent your emotions, we have all been through the same or very similar situation.

Scam dating independent engineer

I'm a single mom, I got contacted by this independent engineer, he claims to struggle to finish his work and making story short got $8000 out of me. I'm really in a bad financial situation and he knew it he said I will help you as soon as my problems got resolved.

He got the pictures of both of my sons and I hope he is not using them to scam more people. He said to me he has a daughter named Chloe.

He doesn't care about any one as long as he gets your last penny, from coments he made to me he just became a father and he said it was his worker but he was very involved. Then when I ask more questions he said I don't know if it is my child.

Please be careful and stay away if he shares his bank account information as it is fake and he showed me a site of a foreign bank that is now expired.

He sounds like the same person I'm dealing with. A widower who lost his wife and kids in a car accident about 4 or 5 years ago. Met on Tinder he said his name was James. Then when he texted me he said his name was David S. Frick.

He is a civil engineer.

His construction business sent him to Africa because he won a big contract. It's 5 hour time difference. We've been talking online for almost 4 weeks. I have pictures. I will create a page. Just this week he started telling me about problems, corrupt government, seizing his equipment, and I guess setting the stage to ask for money.

Why don't you all write your own page on this site then you can share the pictures you have so all can see if they are dealing with the same person. I just shared my story and pictures of the man I thought I was talking to.

Please check it out and let me know if anyone else has received pictures of this man under a different name. Steve Vig - Oil Rig Engineer. I am wishing you all luck and hope you can get out before you send money and your heart is broken. Unfortunately, I stayed to long.

Hiya. I am so sorry to tell you that your man is indeed a scammer. I have had the same story but his name was Jasen Williams. They have the timing down to a tee as they set their computers to dual time so they are always aware of your time.

It may take weeks or months for him to ask but he will only ask when he knows you love him so much you cannot refuse.

I am highly intelligent and vigilant but I too got taken. I'm ashamed to say that even though I knew he was suspicious I still sent money. My head kept telling me no but my heart wouldn't listen.

I have had months of anguishing pain and emotional upset... please, please as hard as it is, cease all contact, it will only break your heart sweetheart.

Yes this guy sounds the same to me also, he is five hours difference than what I am and he knows exactly when to get ahold of me. He takes a while to answer when we message or talk but I know he is talking to another person at the same time.
